Jennifer Rene Psaki
Psaki was the oldest of three daughters. She was the daughter of Eileen Dolan Medvey (Psychotherapist, 8] and Dimitrios R. Psaki (Greek, Demetrios R. Psakes), who were both real estate agents. Her grandfather had immigrated from Greece in 1904 and her maternal grandmother was of Irish origin. In 1976, her parents got married. Psaki also has Polish roots. Psaki graduated in 1996 from Greenwich High School. In 2000, she received an honors degree from the College of William & Mary. She is an active Chi Omega Sorority member. At William & Mary, Psaki was a competitive backstroke swimmer with the William & Mary Tribe athletic team for two years. Psaki began her professional career in 2001 when she was an election candidate for the U.S. Senate of Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin and Tom Vilsack. Psaki was then named deputy press secretary to John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley (U.S. Representative) and was the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. MSNBC announced that Psaki will be a political analysts during 2022's United States elections, and in the presidential election of 2024. In 2023, she will host a show on MSNBC’s Peacock streaming service. [3535 Psaki was the first guest on TV following her departure from her position as White House Press Secretary for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. She also spoke about the Robb Elementary School massacre.
